Snow & CB take ill

It's not any fun being a kitty these days. Snow and CB are very ill. CB has Renal Failure, likely because of his age. We are working very hard to hydrate him and make sure he is eating. He seems to do okay, as long as we remind him that he has the yummiest food in the house sitting on the bed right next to him!

Snow is another story altogether. He's very ill with Fatty Liver Disease. He's a "yellow cat" with yellow ears and a very sad disposition. He's depressed, slow moving, and sad looking.

It's been pretty challenging to get all the food and fluids into the cats. We are set up like a hospital and we have the IV fluids hanging on hooks all around the house. We use a syringe to feed Snow, and we isolate CB in the guest room.

We thought we were making progress, but CB's tests aren't showing much improvement and Snow's days are mercurial.

Reunited!

Thanksgiving @ Lance & Sara's

We went to Iowa for the Thankgiving weekend and spent Thanksgiving day with Scott's brother, Lance, and his wife, Sara, and their new baby, Jacob. They live in Madison, WI. It was a warm and wonderful weekend, where we enjoyed time with baby Jacob and exploring Madison, WI. Scott had not been to Madison, but I used to live there. See the "Reunited and it feels so good" post where I speak of Nestle, a wonderful chocolate lab.
